University of Nebraska Omaha Mammel Hall

Mammel Hall is the new home for the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska – Omaha Campus (UNO). Mammel Hall is UNO’s first LEED certified (Gold) building on campus. The Interior of the 3-story, 120,000 square foot building has many impressive features: an atrium with interactive touch screen historical and information digital displays, a two-story 196-seat auditorium, lounge areas for students to study and relax, a café, glass-walled classrooms, meeting rooms outfitted with computer hookups,  and LCD monitors and other technology to enhance learning. Mammel Hall also has laboratories for investment science, innovation and entrepreneurship, executive decision making, and technology.

MMC Contractors was retained by Kiewit Building Group on a design-assist basis during the early stages of the project design to perform the HVAC hydronic piping, sheet metal, plumbing, and site utility installations. MMC Contractors, and its subcontractors, along with the Kiewit Building Group were able to bring this project to completion on time for the 2010/2011 school year and within UNO’s budget.

1 computer refrigeration air condition unit
9 mini split-systems
2 boilers
2 cooling towers and associated pumps
48 water closets
12 urinals
38 lavatories
6 bi-level drinking fountains
38 roof drains and associated piping
