El Dorado Substation

El Dorado Substation is a Mechanical Electrical Equipment Room (MEER) consisting of a cable vault and relay center. The owner is Southern California Edison. The project was required integrate renewable generation resources (solar) into the grid and export clean energy from Nevada to California.


Our work consisted of installation of the foundation drainage system, packaged heat pumps, and split systems to provide necessary cooling for the electrical gear housed within the 29,692 square foot facility. We also performed plumbing upgrades to the existing 13,389 square foot administration building for ADA compliance and improved storm water drainage.
