West Point Barracks

The Davis Barracks, the first barracks to be built on campus since the 1970's, was developed for future soldiers at West Point.
This six-story building was designed to provide housing for 640 cadets plus NCO's. Cadet rooms, NCO offices, laundry rooms, and study rooms are located on floors two through six. Heating and cooling for cadet rooms is through underfloor radiant pex tubing, approximately 193,800 linear feet of tubing. Three custom air handling units bring outside air to the cadet rooms and common areas, and there are three mechanical rooms located on the first floor: HVAC steam room, HVAC radiant room, and chiller room. The job includes approximately 361,000 linear feet of underfloor pex tubing for the snow melting system at the formation area, also known as the "Muster Area" and the grand staircase.
