Princeton Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment
The Princeton Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment has a central goal: to find practical solutions for sustainable energy production for the protection of the environment. The new facility, located in the heart of the prestigious Princeton University campus, opened in 2015.
MMC Contractors was selected by Sciame Construction as the plumbing contractor, and the scope of work includes:
- plumbing systems;
- domestic water;
- waste water;
- vent and storm water;
- a specialty clean room;
- lab gases; and
- pure water systems.
The on-campus jobsite was very tight, with extremely limited laydown and storage areas. The MMC Contractors team solved this challenge by prefabricating the multi-system pipe racks in their fabrication shop. This allowed the team to stay ahead of the project and perform the work in a controlled shop environment.
