Manning Regional Healthcare Facility

The new hospital in Manning, Iowa, will replace the previous facility built in 1927. Designed to serve the regional community, the new hospital includes areas for surgery, physical therapy, clinic space, emergency needs, drug/alcohol recovery, and more.

During construction, severe weather delayed the schedule for nearly two months, but MMC Contractors didn’t let that stop them. The team was able to pre-fabricate during the weather delays, allowing for quick installation — including installing the mechanical room in five weeks — in order to keep the schedule on track.

As the mechanical prime contractor, MMC Contractors performed all mechanical work, of which the following systems were pre-fabricated: the mechanical room, heating water piping and hangers; in-wall water waste vent piping; and medical gas.
