Central Baptist Hospital Lexington Addition

The joint venture of MMC Contractors and Thomas J. Dyer Company was selected by Lexington, KY-based Congleton-Hacker to provide preconstruction and construction services for the Central Baptist Hospital expansion project. This is our fourth healthcare facility; and the third project the Dyer/MMC joint venture has constructed in Lexington, KY.

The new hospital will include a 7-story, 430,000 SF bed tower, separate dining/dietary facility, Central Utility Plant expansion and an 800-car and a 300-car parking facility. The project will employ Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction principles using the Integrated Project Delivery method of delivery.

Preconstruction team meetings began in winter 2010 with the underground construction anticipated to begin in August 2011.  As a result of the limited on-site storage and staging areas, Dyer/MMC will be fabricating a significant amount of plumbing, medical gas, piping and equipment in a off-site fabrication shop in Lexington.
