MMC Contractors was selected to provide plumbing, HVAC, and BIM coordination on this design-assist project, after the previous mechanical contractor was unable to meet budget and schedule requirements.
The project featured a complete remodel with new structural steel and additional square footage. It was completed in seven months, from demolition of the existing structure to the completion of its top-of-the-line finishes. To meet the demand of this tight schedule, MMC Contractors provided 70 employees working seven days a week and two shifts.
The new addition to the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is located at the busiest intersection in Las Vegas, and includes specialty HVAC systems for stringent acoustical requirements. The project addition also features two restaurants, two nightclubs, and 14 bars.
