Tyson Foods

MMC Contractors has partnered with Tyson on mulitple projects including condenser upgrades and a facility expansion for its meat processing plant.

The condenser upgrades included seven new pumps, an 11' tall x 8' wide x 21' long remote condenser sump (tank) and piping was installed to one new and two existing/active ammonia condensers on the roof at the Tyson Foods plant in Millard.  Pumps were built in skid in MMC's shop and were installed in conjunction with the tank in 11 hours with four men.  Eighty-five percent of the piping on the project was fabricated in the shop and installed in large pieces at the site.

The MMC Contractors team utilized our pre-fabrication shop in Omaha, NE, to produce 160 carbon steel headers for installation at Tyson's meat processing plant. This eliminated difficult position welds in the field and allowed the project to complete on schedule.
