Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital

This 14-story 565,000 square foot replacement hospital has 206 inpatient beds and is a free-standing building located on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center campus. The project included additional shelled space for future growth and approximately 90,000 square feet of quite areas; public areas, kitchen, laundry, and business service facilities. Special attractions include an indoor performance area, outdoor theatre and water feature. 

Preconstruction and construction services for this world-class children’s hospital included complete HVAC, plumbing and medical gas including $3 million in Value Analysis/Value Engineering suggestions.
