MMC Contractors is proud to announce the award of the Vivarium Renovation and Restoration at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) with Torcon.
The project, valued at approx. $3 million, is scheduled to begin immediately and be completed by September of 2013.
A few more details on the project:
28,000 SF
Two phase restoration on the ground floor of the existing medical science building
Located on the UMDNJ Newark, NJ Campus
Our scope includes:
chilled water;
heating hot water and steam piping;
all ductwork; and
building automation systems including a laboratory supply and exhaust air system typical of this type of research facility.
The phasing of this project requires that MMC Contractors maintain existing pressure conditions and requirements while performing the renovation due to the ongoing research. This project is funded by a continuing grant from the National Institute of Health.
