MMC Contractors Kansas City Awarded Phases 3 and 4 of Cerner Innovations Campus

Tuesday, February 13, 2018

The MMC Contractors Kansas City office is excited to once again partner with the JE Dunn team, along with Gould Evans, Architect; W.L. Cassel, Engineer, and many of the same subcontractors, to deliver the next phase of Class A office space to the Cerner Corporation in south Kansas City.

MMC-KC worked on Phases 1 and 2 and The Link, completed one year ago, which included over 775,000 SF of office space, a central plant, meeting space, and a large conference center.

Much like the successful first project, Phases 3 and 4 consists of two self-contained office towers. Tower 3 is a 12-story, 449,162 SF office and mechanical space and Tower 4 is a 9-story, 322,964 SF office building. The towers are connected to each other with a 2-story, 4,475 SF atrium and the Phase 4 Tower is connected to the previous project via a 1,014 SF pedestrian Skywalk. The renderings below represents Towers 3 and 4, as well as the entire first four phases.

Preconstruction is well underway and construction will begin in March 2018 with a target completion of April 2020. By the time this phase is completed in 2020, we will have constructed nearly two million square feet of new office space for Cerner in just five years.
